There are the career-oriented ones who tend to spend less time inside it that it becomes a venue for sleeping or eating only. There are those who are very much workaholics that they bring in their paper works in hope to accomplish additional tasks and make more money.

Prevent stress from creeping into your system. Here are five (5) tips you could apply to have a career-focused yet healthy lifestyle.

  1. Early to bed and early to rise. Make it a habit to retire early. Rest is a big factor for a well-rounded health. Abusing your body by not sleeping well has an effect on your mood, energy and ability to think. Therefore, maintain an average of eight hours of sleep so you could be fresh and ready to tackle diverse challenges the following morning. Eat breakfast before you leave. Remember that good nutrition plays a vital role in brain function.

  1. Eliminate the pressure of commuting. Another aspect that could add up to your anxiety is how long your travel time is until you reach your workplace. Thoughts such as traffic and rush hour could tick like bombs inside your head. Do not allow yourself to be stressed this way when you could do something about it.   1. Exercise. Not only is it beneficial to your heart and weight, it is guaranteed to make you smarter as well! It has been proven that it could sharpen focus, improve memory and increase productivity. Instead of hailing a cab from one building to the other, if it’s just a few blocks away, walk the distance.

  1. Do not bring your work at your house. Instead of burying yourself with your “To Do’s” and numerous emails to reply to, take this opportunity to watch TV, hear some music, play a game or cook! Let your sanctuary be the center for relaxation.
